Expo 2015 ticketing: how to buy the tickets. Prices, family packages, discounts and special offers

If you are planning to pay a visit to Milan during 2015 Expo here are a 3 steps guide on how to get the right ticket at the right price.

First of all, how, where and when to buy the tickets?

The quickest and safest way is purchasing the tickets you need in advance (approaching to the starting day of the 1st May the prices may vary) via the official on-line ticket store, available here. Of course, you will be able to buy your entrance even when you get to Milan, but the on-line experience sounds much more convenient…

Second step, which ticket or package you should buy and how much does it cost?

Well, basicly it depends on the number of visitor you are purchasing the tickets for! There are quite a few combinations (read the note below), from the single adult visitor (as far as january 2015 it costs 32 Euros) to the senior (over 65yo, €25), from a family package made of an adult plus one kid (€41) to the mega-family pack for two adults and 12 kids (€182). Moreover, there are other options that let you save a few money, for example choosing a fixed date or a two day visit could be cheaper than the single-day (open date) ticket.

Third, and also last, step: how do I get the ticket?

That’s easy: after selecting the ticket and paying with Credit Card, you will get an email with the digital copy of the ticket. Print it and take it with you!

Note:

Adult: 14 to 64 years of age on the date of the visit and not accompanied by at least one child over 3 years old.

Sr. Citizen: 65+ years old on the date of the visit.

Family Packages: in the following combinations:

  • 1 adult + 1 child
  • 2 adults + 1 child
  • 1 adult + 2 children
  • 2 adults + 2 children.

If there are more than two children in a family group just add additional Child tickets as required. Children in the Family Package age range from 4 to 13 years old on the date of the visit.

Note: Children 0-3 years are admitted free of charge. However, Italian law requires a zero-cost ticket to be issued and used at the entry point for each infant. Expo 2015 requests that adults with infants pick up the free infant ticket(s) on the day of Expo visit at the main entrance ticket office, or in advance at Expo Gate (Piazzale Cairoli, Milano) or at some authorized resale locations (the list will be published shortly on the official Expo 2015 website). A proof of age document must be presented for verification purposes.
The free Infant ticket must be for a fixed date only and therefore the accompanying adult must have a fixed date ticket or an open ticket set for a fixed date.
